Why
Buy from Dell?
I bought a Dell notebook
computer mainly because I was able to get the configuration I wanted at
a price that was within my budget. No other computer company allowed me
to do this. Dell's web site was well designed and allowed me to easily
configure my notebook from various base configuration models. I would
have ordered on-line, but at that time Dell was doing maintenance on their
server, so I ordered via phone. Ordering by phone was a little more complicated
that ordering via the Internet, but I finally got my order placed. Once
placed, I used Dell's on-line tracking web site. This site informed me
what stage of the manufacturing process my computer was in. The computer
arrived at my door exactly seven days after I placed my order.
If you plan on purchasing a Dell computer, I recommend you contact:

On-line
Notebook Retailers
- Dell
- http://www.dell.com/
- Nice computers
at competitive prices. The three-year warranty on notebooks sold is
the best in the industry.
- Micron
- http://www.micronpc.com/
- The notebook
computers offered at Micron are extremely powerful, but the prices
are too high.
- Gateway
- http://www.gateway.com/
- Gateway's prices
are very affordable, but I couldn't get the right combination of screen
size and processor speed that I wanted. Either they configured the
screen size too small or the processor speed too fast.
- NECX
- http://www.necx.com/
- This is where
I purchased my network card. Once again, I highly recommend this online
retailer. NECX has very fast delivery and very low prices. I received
my packages within 3 days of my order from them. They had a large
selection of products and comprehensive reviews about all of them.
